Knowing- II

Clad in the bliss
Of the million knitted
Sparkling, twinkling
Tender, warm
Thoughts of you

I can brave the
Cold shoulders
The chilling indifference
The eyes that look in askance
Pityingly
Shuddering perhaps

That I dare to show my
Vulnerability.
That I am foolish enough
To show I care
Quite unconditionally.

Asking for nothing in return
Except the Grace
The Blessing
Of feelings that abound

Except to always be able
To love you

Knowing that each night
I shall sleep alone
Wrapping my arms around you
Held closer than my own self.

Knowing, that you do too;
And knowing this.
It matters not.

  3. I understand and love silly simple poetry! No sense to delve deep into philosophical ramblings I gather :P So this works real well for me!! :P

  4. What a finish! WHAT A FINISH. There is such an air of indifference that in turn is showing the sincerity of the emotion. Its been long since I have read such a simple and touching poetry (keeping Sashu's Phoenix aside).

One of your recent bests. Love this.

  5. Sash :) hehehe... I sound so darned pompous don't I? But when this wrote itself, given the recent spate of absurd writes that have come to be, I did wonder if it was just that :) :) Apologies :D! And yes, the silly stuff - I too love :) :) Thank you for keeping me grounded in things that really matter !!

Soumya! Thank you... very very much. I did wonder if the last lines were out of sync. Now I know it's meant to be that way! Thanks awfully, for seeing it that way; makes me relish a wayward thought and revel in those words again, however egoistic that sounds :D!
Both of you Sashu and Soumya; you guys are the best :) :)

  6. Is this the 'other woman's' account?
whose feelings never really did count
the person whom we always like to taunt
or perhaps to put her head on a mount.

Weaving magic with words as always. :)

  7. It is most paramount
That we read by our account :) :)
For,to place anything upon a mount
    Sometimes, does it,our soul, taunt?

I love that perspective, Govind. Seriously, I must consider following your notes on writes all around :) :) And compile them!
    Thank you. As always!

Quite unconditionally.............Wow..Usha, your words never fail to touch a chord. To be in love is being vulnerable. IT is the only feeling that can tear one apart, and paradoxically can also make one feel complete....Love the simplicity in your words Usha
